About
声は光になる
In her project "Golos Hikari" Yulia Savelyeva brings together like-minded musicians passionate about the multifaceted Japanese culture. The warm timbre of the vocalist blends with shakuhachi flute improvisations, saxophone, and drum rhythms, creating a unique sound where Japanese aesthetics meet jazz improvisation.
The project's philosophy is built on deep respect for Japanese tradition and contemporary jazz art. Each piece is a dialogue between cultures, where Eastern melancholy and Western freedom create a new sonic space.
Music is a bridge between cultures. When I sing in Japanese, I feel two worlds merging in a single sound.
The name "Golos Hikari" is a metaphor for transformation. Light (光 — hikari) symbolizes the enlightenment that music brings, and the voice becomes a conductor of that light.
